Help please. I am using Illustrator 10 and Lightwave 8 at a my school. We are trying to create a simple logo in Illustrator and import into Lightwave. We are continually getting the message we can't do this because we don't have the file permission. We have tried saving a number of ways in Illustrator with no luck. I assume we are not doing some basic step but it is driving us crazy. Working on a Mac.

The tutorials go through the steps but no reference is made of the file permission.

Any help would be appreciated regarding the saving steps or whatever in Illustrator.

this has been covered many times on this very forum,

Your illustrator file will need to be saved as ver 8 or earlier.

Obviously we didn't search as well as we thought because we missed the discussion. Thanks for responding. We saved to an external from illustrator and we had no problem.

The important bit until this issue is fixed is to keep the file path length below 32 characters.
