I thought it might help pull some of these out of the main thread so they are easier to find and discuss. So here we go.

Here is a quick test on a UV map that used to give me problems. All I had to do was choose Subpatch as teh interpolation setting Easy peasy!

I know this one will be a big hit with many of you character guys

Gotta love that....ok maybe you dont but apply it to a complex head uv map and then you gotta love it

Thought it might help showing some examples of the different interpolation settings.

Here is an example of Linear....this is what we are used to working with

Hey, not just the character guys! :)

This would have been extremely usefull for a couple of vehicles I had to model and UV map recently.

Thanks for the pics Proton, looking forward to using these features!

Does this solve the bug that when modeler tries to UV map a large model it crashes or locks up?

Proton can you post the image of the map you used to get those nice smooth lines on the face?

Just wondering If I am missing something since the UVs are dramatically different depending on the settings.

thanks

The particular bug you have encountered is being worked on, but is not yet resolved.
