check Apple's quicktime and Adobe's Atmosphere (probably misspelled that) if your looking for more many of the game engines allow you to model in lightwave and import

I use Wirefusion. They are working on getting a few LW compatability issues worked out, but it works great for walkthroughs. Runs on java, so most computers are already able to play the end output.

www.demicron.com

Issues or things to keep in mind: Some options that LW vrml output gives you should not be used, as they are to be set in wirefusion(loops, triggers, sensors, navigation mode). don't use layered objects. don't use morphs. when exporting a vrml from LW, use "embed objects". Like I said they are working to fix some of the compatability issues.

Hope that works for you.

checkout idsoftware.com for quake and doom engines. Croteam the makers of serious sam are said to have used lightwave extensively. I am unsure, but I heard you can import lightwave models into unreal as well.

Also check out http://www.mgdesign.org you may have to click the british flag at the bottom of the page to read it, but thier application VirtualDive might be better than a game engine.

I recommend using Director. You can export as Shockwave if it's for the net.

A thread worth looking through I bookmarked:

This is a thread on CGTalk where you can download a free shockwave viewer.

thank u all for ur help, but my approach is a little different than these applications, maybe director do it or demicron, actually demicron is really good and powerfull, and also there is adobe atmosphere and turntool studio, yeah they all do a VR, but all of them are complex in structure and complicated for arch. students to use as walkthrough application.
what i'm looking for is a straight walkthrough navigation only without all these bells and whistles, friendly interface and decent functionality, simple to use, import any known 3d format.
thank u again for ur help.
