Have you tried G2 or Ogo?

Another option:

Ska 1.3 (free)
download: http://web.infinito.it/utenti/k/killjoy/res/plugin.htm
tutorial: http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/animation/scattering/index.html

yes, I did, but I think their quality are not comparable.

Agreed, no option on lw is as easy to use or as powerful as theirs.
It should be intergrated and not seperate. G2 SSS isnt that good in many instances.

I've had great success with Ogo and it's much much cheaper than g2.

Nope, it's not free, but here's the link for Ogo.

Oh, I know it is not free. I mean, can you post some images that you did with Ogo? :p

Covered many times: LW's SDK makes it hard.

You need to write quite a lot of RayTracing stuffs into the Shader for a proper SSS implementation (cos SDK's Ray functions are too much simplistic)... maybe in future... NT is working on the SDK so we can hope... at least!

G2 and Ogo provide good results but they're far from some competitors solutions... and they're slower (expecially Ogo) cos they must compute a lot of stuffs that should be passed by the Renderer at first. :(

Voici un image avec G2SSS ;)

From what I understood, G2 doesn't do true SSS. Ogo does, but is sloooow. I too would like such nice SSS.

but I doubt will be any faster until LW's SDK has such small set of Rays function...
forcing developers to create custom code for reverse Rays intersection point, polygon tracing and normal smoothing (these and more are only the basis you must use to implement the needed SSS code)!
