Has the VT board been upgraded in any way since first ones out?

say like being able to add mor ram to slot, or uses ddr ram , faster processor, anything?

the HP deal looks good and was wondering if board is same as mine now (VT1), and if upgrade would be worth it.

Same, or technically similar, board now as original VT1.0 (updated Frame Factory). No advantages with old/new with the firmware patched right.

RAM hasn't changed, or if it has is bigger than it needs to be and probably faster than is made use of by the driving electronics.

If you need two toasters buy another.
If you want VT [3], buy the upgrade. Get it early and enjoy the additional full LW7.5 keyed to your chosen VT card too!

Early SX-8 had a factory mod during 2002 as I remember.
NewTek add the magic to the software and firmware in VT, so you don't have to buy the latest card set and find a new owner for the old. How refreshing.

The current board revision is "E".

You'll find the revision letter behind the upper right corner of the DIMM (RAM) screened on the board.
