View Full Version : Morphed objects - memory requirement ?

At the moment i'm working on adding morph targets to some of my objects i need for my archviz, for example for a tft-monitor i create a morph target for height and one for screen rotation. Now i'd like to know how much memory do these objects require in comparsion to the "normal" objects. Does LW store the object for each morph target (twice the memory needed if you add one mt), or is it a simple vector calculation ? Just curious since my scenes are alredy full of polygones.

The file size does increase if you add morphs to an object. Lightwave isn't saving each object as a separate object (like adding layers of objects), but saves the vector information.
