I just installed VT4 for another user and the VGA capture output looks really bad. The colors are over saturated and it is grainy. I know this is not normal because I installed my upgrade and it looks awesome. Could it be the Video driver he has or what should I be looking at?

Thanks,

Ivan

I guess you need to ensure he's running his graphics card in 32-bit mode.

Thanks Paul, I thought of that tonight when I was eating dinner with my wife. She always loves it when we're in the middle of a conversation and my faace lights up. She is disappointed however when she finds it has nothing to do with what she was talking about.

LOL!

In those moments, just remember to blurt out, "That's fascinating!'

Hey Paul,
Is it possible to get it as clean as one can get a screen capture from the encoder itself? Seems I only get postage stamp sizes.
Where's the setup dialogue? The one on the capture panel doesn't seem to be changing anything.
This is awfully nifty stuff, Paul.

Well, he checked the settings and it is set to 32bit color. Any other ideas?

He is using a Matrox 440 card I believe. Is he going to have to upgrade the card?

Thanks,

Ivan

I guess the graphics card may be the culprit, then.
I was using it throughout the day, and this thing rocks!
The image quality is better than any hardware scan converter I've ever used!

I agree, I have tried it on my system and it rocks. Are you saying that the Matrox 440 dual head card will likely not work for this then?

Thanks,

Ivan

Paul, have you used Miranda's DVI Ramp?

No, which is why I limited it my personal experience instead of saying 'better than anything'.
