how would i make a robot move??
(ok that sounded like a super noob)
what should i use to move them?????
(dang there i go again!)
(noow i am talking to my self ((thats not good talking to my self)) !)

The parts of the robot would have to be parented to form a proper heirarchy (the foot connected to the ankle connected to the shin, connected to the thigh etc etc).
Once that is done you can move the main part of the robot and then rotate the various joints like a stop motion armature (also called Forware kinematics)You could also set up something called IK (inverse kinematics) to animate it like a muppet or marionette.

the simplest way is the build each of your parts (at least the ones that need to move independantly of one another...) on seperate layers...

Then parent each layer to it's respective part.... hand to forarm... forarm to upper arm..... upper arm to shoulder.... etc.....

The pivot points will also have to be moved to make all work properly...

All this can be setup in Modeller....

do a search in your pdf manual for .... IK and Inverse kinematics....

that should get you goin'
