Hi there, I'm a newbie and I'm having a hard time trying to find wave filter so as to set NTSC safe colors. Can anyone please help me how to enable it? I've read and read and found nothing. THKS! :o

I've bumped against this a little. As a rule, I never use black, I go RGB 35,35,35 and I never use white, 235,235,235. I've never heard of a filter for Lightwave although I would like one. Avid has a color correcter built in and most editors know how to get the levels right. When I run into trouble I run my renders through After Effects and correct it there.

In the Effects Panel under the processing tab you have:
Wavefilter
NTSC Legalize
Pal Legalize
Video Legalize
There also might be some free plugins as well.
This could also probably be done in post. :)

Thanks to all who took time to respond, really. I'll try to use Vegas instead of After Effects and searching in the Effects Panel too. ;)

I didn't realize you had these within lightwave -- I think you're better off doing it this way than in post, because a filter in post might effect colors that are ok a bit as well.

Theres a lot of tools like that in Lightwave. In the same panel theres about 7 image savers that many dont know exist. :)
