I'm new to Lightwave and was wondering if there is a way to purchase objects/ models to use in videos I create for public viewing. I'd like to get some that I can use freely after the original purchase without paying additional royalties. I'm looking for space ships specifically. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

You can get a lot of the original LW models they used in Babylon 5 and all sorts of other stuff as well at Fantastic Arts

http://www.fantasticarts.com/pn/

the only draw back is you have to use this file sharing application (emule) which is really slow.

Hope that helps

Also try http://www.digimation.com and go to the models catalogue.

God a huuuuge library and the models have been used in bond films and stuff... ooooOOOOOoooh.

Even better with digimation, if you build a model that is very nice has a perfect poly flow but you don't need it for anything special anymore, u can give it to them to sell in the catalogue. They have a couple of licenses to choose from if you do, one where you can sell the model to other companies but get less royalties, and another where they own the rights of it and u get a higher percentage. Although, i think YOU can still use it for your own projects still! :)
