Does anyone knw if there is a way to achieve Anisotropy without the BDRF shader? I'd like to use fPrime, because it's faster for what I do, but... as you all know... no shader plugins can be used.

I've been there and read thier tutes, and also own their pshelf metals collection. But the problem is that to do Anisotropy like they show, it needs the plugin, which doesn't work with fprime.

Can you not get it using a very small bump drawn out in the right direction? This was done in FPrime. There is a radial noise procedural texture that allows you got get a "borred" out look many things (http://www.andynicholas.com/thezone/index.php?area=downloads) that was made by Andy Nicholas.

If you get the bump small enough that helps- plus if you aren't using HDRI, then I'd try using micro bumps along with lights that only have specular turned on to get the hilghlights right and/or using a gradient turn your reflection channel WAY up at just a certain limited incedent angle.

Basicly I should add that you might want to turn your specularity off for the texture and use relections controled by gradients to get the highlights. This with the micro bump should get you started along the way.
