What video cards are supported for a video toaster [2] system? Will my 3Dlabs VP990 work, if not what would you reccommend?

Thanks.

I don't really have a clue, (like usual), but what are you using the 3Dlabs card for?

I'm always reluctant to have much more then the minimum on my Bread and Butter machine, so is another machine an option?
If not, you gotta have what you gotta have. Give it a shot when you have a lot of spare time.

I noticed this is your first post. Don't get discouraged if you don't get a usually overwhelming response. Itís gotten really slow around here since many of the regulars are off to NAB.
I'm sure there will still be several knowledgeable people able to help you out here.

I use the 3D Labs Card (http://www.3dlabs.com/product/wildcatvp/vp990/index.htm) because it has awesome performace (it has 512MB) in Lightwave3D and AutoCAD. It was rather expensive, so I'd rather not have to replace it. How ever, If I have to I guess I will.

Thanks for all your help!

I'd try it before deciding whether to 'update' it with an nVidia card. The specs look pretty impressive, and chances are it'll work just fine.
