A couple of finished renders of Quark in a WIP thread, a 1950s retro kinda space elf who started out as a doodle in Modeler. There's no messin' with this guy ;)

Just finished rigging him, so working on some animations... IK is really cool to set up in LW!

Nice character! Can we see him animated (yes, I know I'm impatient!).

I like his face - he looks kind of disarming....

looks good!
the reflection of the gun is too sharp though, and in the second image the eyes are not pointing in the same direction as the gun. This makes him seem puppet like, cos any living entety would look where it aimed:)

hope this helps!:)

DD Apocalypse,
Hehe, the gun is a homage to the fab design on the Foo Fighters' first album sleeve, with glassy bits added.

Adrian,
Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on a short animation so will post soon.

Veljko, yeh I agree, the HDRI map is a bit intense and I need to work on the AA. As I'm working on other stuff now I'm trying to improve the reflections in the animation. Here's a final final render on this character :)
Cheers,

Bob

Great Model ! The suit is superb.
One comment about the shoulder pads. They look great but should they not be hollow ? so that you would see the shoulder and the armpit under them. As they are, the arm seems to stick out a bit unnaturally.
