It would be really cool if you could update your bones to conform to an objects skelegons. Right now, if you make any changes to your skelegons you have to delete your bones and then conver the skelegons to bones. In doing this you lose all your IK setups and whatnot. Very frustrating. A simple 'conform bones to skelegons' tool or something like that would be very cool. Plus, it would make refitting rigs to different characters a snap.

The best solution right now is to get Orthopedics bone plugin at www.irrationalnumber.com
Basically it brings the functionality of skelegons to layout. You can
adjust joint positions, split or fuse bones, mirror heirarchies, clone heirarchies and parent or unparent them in many different ways. You can also automatically or manually align the pitch of different bones. You can also turn off IK and make bone adjustments and turn your IK back on. No more having to jump back and forth to do things. Its a GREAT plugin and only $65.00
