Greetings all,

I'm trying to write a script and I need to get the rest rotation/position value of a bone. Unfortuantely, this isn't near as easy as getting the regular old rotation and position of a bone. I found in the manual a reference to the 'restparam' feature of a bone, but for the life of me, I just can't work out the syntax of how to make it work. Could somebody provide me a short sample, please?

Appreciated

I wrote a script a long time ago to key the Rest Position and Rotation of a boned character.

It is called KeyRestPose.ls and can be found here:
http://www.mindspring.com/~anthonyramirez/LScript/LScript.htm

If "bone" is a OA for the bone you want and it is selected
then all you need is this:
pos = bone.restParam(POSITION);
rot = bone.restParam(ROTATION);

Hope this helps.
