The DAVE School Attracts LightWave 3D Evangelist William Vaughan as Director and Instructor

Award-Winning 3D Artist, Educator and Industry Icon Brings Vast Industry Knowledge and Experience to the DAVE School's Team of Educators

Orlando, FL – September 16, 2004 – The DAVE School, a premiere educational facility for computer artists focusing on animation and visual effects, announces William Vaughan, NewTek's LightWave 3D® Evangelist has joined its staff of high-level instructors focusing on the art and evolution of 3D animation.

“Our students are extremely lucky to have an instructor of William’s caliber on staff to help them realize their artistic goals,” says Jeff Scheetz, founder and director of The DAVE School. “This new staffing addition further strengthens our commitment to provide the highest-quality training imaginable for computer animation and visual effects.”

Vaughan will be Director and Instructor of the DAVE School’s upcoming Final Project, which will be a short film featuring Batman as an Art Asylum Mini-Mate in a world constructed of C3 (Art Aslyum’s line of Lego compatible building sets). “We all put an insane amount of effort into the final projects,” says Scheetz. “It is what makes The DAVE School stand out from the crowd by quickly qualifies our graduates to enter the workforce after graduation.”

About William Vaughan
A recipient of several New Media Addy awards, Vaughan has an extensive background in creative 3D for print, web, multimedia, games and broadcast. During the last 10 years, Vaughan has delivered award-winning work for clients such as Compaq, New Line Cinema, and Halliburton. Vaughan has also trained artists at several studios and schools around the world and contributed to six LightWave 3D books throughout 2003 and 2004.

In 2002 Vaughan joined NewTek's marketing team as the LightWave 3D Evangelist, working closely with the LightWave development team, key accounts, and the growing number of end users to enhance LightWave's features set.

Hmm, maybe I'll take a look at DAVE school now, are you going to be doing campus tours for us high school animators?
