View Full Version : Should I clean up variables before the script ends?

Hi All,

I'm a scripting newb with a silly question: Should I be setting my variables to nil when the script is done, or does LW handle that for me anyway? I ask because I'm curious if repeatedly running a script I made without destroying these variables will eventually cause an overflow error or something?

I believe LScript cleans up after itself.
I've written a pretty big modeler LScript that uses fairly large 2D arrays with no cleanup.
After running tons of tests I never had memory problems.

Same seems true in Layout, but I have had overly large arrays crash Layout...
just kinda closes down unexpectedly.
That's a known LScript bug.
