Sorry for the totally off topic question, but this is REALLY annoying!

I have no idea why this has just started to happen, wasn't doing it until yesterday.

Everytime I do a search from Google.com Explorer opens up the search
bar with Lycos repeating my search?

WHY??????????????????!!!!

Arrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!

This is sooooooooo annoying, it's driving me over the edge!!!

See here . . .

Google Search Annoyance (http://www.creactive-design.co.uk/temp/google_problem.html)

ANY ideas?

I thought it might be some ad crap going on so I ran Ad-Aware over it, but it still does it.

Is it an Explorer setting? If so which one, I haven't touched them in months!

Please help!!!

:)

found it!

bloody microsoft!

WHY their ridiculous "search companion" reset it settings to
offer "task suggestions and automatically send your search to other
search engines" I don't know, it wasn't me!

this is the one thing that REALLY gets my goat, when MS think they
know what's best for you and make it difficult to turn off their
ANNOYING "help" features.

MS p*ss off and leave me alone, I'm capable of using a computer
WITHOUT your "help"

Grrrrrrrrr!

It's a punishment from the god of computers for not having updated your LightWave Vx page for ages... :)

LOL! :D

I didn't think people were checking those pages anymore!

Nice to know there's interest still there! Even if it is a pie-in-the-sky project!

I can't be the only one! I keep checking, just in case, especially after you said you were going to update it (yeah, that's right, you did!). Bah humbug!

Yep, check it out. I have to go back to explorer on occasion due to badly scripted pages, but 99.9 % of the stuff works.
It is fast, and once you get the hang, great to use.
Can you say mouse gestures? "right-click left-click" = back.
Oh, split view are great to (for this forum for example), load http://vbulletin.newtek.com in a window, rmb and "create linked" and it opens a second window. Click on a topic in the first window, and the topic gets opened in the second window
You might not want to use the e-mail client though, it takes a while to get used to (it took me a while to appreciate it).
Well, nice cahnge of subject :)
And, regarding the VX project, Opera can be skinned :)

Ben - There will be more to come! :)

LightWolf - Opera didn't like my stretched graphic spacers.

IE on the Mac doesn't either, it's odd before I could set a graphic
to 100% width and it would expand out. Now the very same code
doesn't work.

Even tried sytle sheets, no success :(

Not sure what the W3 legal way of doing this is!
