View Full Version : antialiasing causes checkerd transparency

I need a little help with antialiasing. I'm putting a motion blur on an object and I turned antialiasing to do so. But when I render the project, theres a checkerdboard transparency thats shows up in the background. Is there another way to put motion blur on a fast moving object? is there a way to have antialiasing on and not have the checkerdboard transparency?

Can you post a pic? I'm wondering if you are describing the artifacts you get on motion blur when you use low AA settings. Higher settings mean more passes, and a smoother motion blur effect.

I was wrong. it has nothing to do with antialiasing. I rendered one without it and its still has it. I might start a new tread so I wont confuse people. but you can take a look at it here.

Looks to me like you've gone into DE mode, check your dongle.

I agree. That looks like the checkerboard pattern you get when running Lightwave in Discovery Edition mode. Look to see if it says Discovery Edition in the title bar at the top of the screen. If it does, you have a problem with your dongle.
