He makes some suggestions that I'm sure a lot of game devs have been gunning for, myself included.

Yeah, like improved UV-manipulation:

1)Relax UVs
2)Correct SDS UVs
3)Not having to unweld "physically" the polygons to edit their UVs

Seneca rocks....I've been lucky enuff to hang out with him a few times and he is a really cool guy and talented artist!

The id team is quite small and what they have accomplished is no small feat...those guys rock!

I think it just goes to show how fast you can model in lightwave compared to any other packages. Lightwave is the only package I know that almost every tool has some sort of interactive interface. On the other end you have XSI which has almost no interactive tools except for the basics. Using a sliding bar to do a simple extrude is about as fun as bagging your head against the wall.

agree!!! :)
Lw's modeler gives a particular feeling to the user : like working in clay especially for organics. but its particulary good for inorganic too.

(BTW this doesn't mean an integration isn't required - LOL)
