View Full Version : 3DS importer missing textures

When I try to import a 3Ds mesh with textures Lightwave comes up with an error message saying it failed to load TGA files. It asks if I want it to remember this next time a load the level. On a small mesh if I yes it will oad the mesh and I then just have to find the textures by hand. But on a large mesh it just crashes out after you skip the last texture. Does anyone know of a solution or a good pluging?

Not unusual, I have only had limited success with the Importers in LW, they are basically the same as they were back in older releases. I prefer to use Polytrans from Okino Computer Graphics because it suppports many different filetypes, and has given me quite consistent results. it's not free, however. There are some fre ones such as 3D Object Converter. Do a search on the web for it.
