View Full Version : Missing Geometry via OBJ import?

Hi All,

I am working on a project for a client and they have a model already created in Maya that they want animated. Since I use LW, I had them export the model as an OBJ. Well when I open the file, 80% of the model's geometry is missing. Any ideas why? I have attached two jpgs that show the original model in Maya and the result I get in LW8. I even tried using AccuTrans3d for the conversion but had the same problem. Any help would be great. Thanks.

could it be the client made a mistake ?

It could be, but they are a production house that has some experience with 3D and when I opened the file in Maya PLE and it looked fine. They have also sent me another model with the same problem. They're looking into it right now as well to see if they can figure it out. I haven't been able to find anything that even remotely answers this issue. Thanks for posting.
