Newtek guys:

The new forum software looks cool, but one feature it MUST MUST MUST! include is the ability to read new messages since your last visit in a specific forum group, not the whole shebang. Although I'd love to read through every new message in every area (Lightwave, VT, Aura, DFX), I usually only have time for the VT Headline News before I need to get to work...

The search page almost does this, but sadly doesn't since it demands a string to search for (and * is too short  ). Someone around here (sorry I forgot who, you rule) discovered you could use a link similar to the following to get new messages in a forum or group: http://vbulletin.newtek.com/search.php?s=&action=getnew&forumid=22. But this seems broken at the moment; maybe new numbers will become clear when things settle down.

If this option is in here somewhere, thanks! If not, consider this a feature request. I can't start the day without caffeine and the latest VT posts...

Thanks! -MG :D

"new posts" is in the middle of the tool bar on top...
you may have to log in to access this function...

That doesn't work, it gets all forums. See my post here for details on how to do this. It is the only way I have read the forum for the longest time as I have posted before. The new Forum software changed the code, but I hacked it toute sweet...

Here is the Post:

and more specifically, here is the URL for New Posts in VT:
http://vbulletin.newtek.com/search.php?do=getnew&f=33

Brad posted it Here (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?t=27487) if you haven't found it yet Mike. Works just as slick as the last version. :D

... but then you know that now since Brad's just a little quicker on the Submit button than I am... :p

BTW, the email notification including the text of the reply is very cool. The pages load faster for me too (dialup :p ), though that may just be the current lightweight banner.

Thanks for the upgrade! -MG.
