View Full Version : deformation problems when parenting my bones...

Hi guys!

I'm following Digiwonk's Tutorial on character rigging (super cool tutorial!), i'm having some problems with bone parenting in Layout. When I try parenting them my mesh get's all deformed even though I have the "Parent in Place" button clicked.
I'm doing this in Schematic view and the deformation appears instantly, I tried using the scene editor to do it and it seemed to work fine, but after closing and opening the scene again the deformations appear.

I'm having this problem both on LW7.5c and LW8 on a mac under Panther 10.3.5

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

De-activate your bones when you do the parenting (select the bones and press ctrl-r) and after parenting them, rest the bones again (press r) This should sort that out. It's because it hasn't realised the new 'positions' are where the bones SHOULD be..
