Supermarine Spitire MKIIa

This is the first time i have modelled something like this, I am usually more at home with organic stuff, but i think it turned out ok, certainly was challenging.
I love these planes, I have the deepest respect for those guys battling it out over the very sky where I was born on the southcoast of England, amazing.

On another note can anyone suggest how to go about rendering a cannon fire effect?

Trevor:

That's a beautiful model. I love all the rivet details on the wings.

I describe how I created the machine gun fire for the air combat animations I posted in the WWII Aerial Combat thread in this forum. I can provide more detail if you'd like.

Keep up the good work.

Very very nice. I really like the almost illustration quality of it. Could we see the wireframe?

looks cool-
the modeling and texturing are right on spot, but the ambient lightening is WAY to dark-
hope this helps

Thanks for your comments,

Rather than post wires , I thought I would give my model to the LW community.
I have not modelled the inside of the cockpit yet and I have compressed the textures to jpg format to keep the file size down.
Its a subpatch model.

The file is a rar file 1.63 megs

Do what ever you wish with it, fly it, blow it up, add to it , modify it, put it on any content sites , but most of all enjoy it.

Trevor.
