if you look in the camera properties panel you'll find a number of defaults and one being D1:- PAL Widescreen which is 720x576 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.4222

If the client asks for 1024 x 576, then go for it.

This is 16:9. It's the ratio for PAL Widescreen using square pixels. It will work for outputting to PAL Widescreen, and will also look OK on a computer desktop.

The other PAL Widescreen setting on the Lightwave camera menu is for anamorphic widescreen. That is, everything will look squished and skinny when you look at your images on the computer desktop, but they get expanded later.

Hi Beam,
wel, since it is intended for a tv ad, which tends to be PAL, 720x576 in the UK...

And it does save a bunch of time, especially if you work on a deadline.

Now if LWs image viewer would support pixel aspects *sigh* ;)
