Hi.
It's monday morning, we're all looking at the week-end's renders, right ?
Some are happy, some not...
I'm in the second group...
(hi there ! nice weather today isn't it ?)

Some cursed gremlins came friday night and changed the save RGB setting from TGA to FLX...;0

I'm the happy owner of 100's of FLX files i'd rather do not re-render.
I've checked them in LW image editor, they're OK.

How could I convert them in TGAs or JPGs...
ACDsee and Photoshop refuses them.

And I see no file converter in google...

Thanks

DFX / DF if you own it, otherwise... LW :) Load the .flx seqeunce as a a backdrop image, set your camera size to the same rez and render away to whatever you want.

Cheers,
Mike

You don't even have to do that. Just load it into LW and double click the image in the Image Editor - that'll pop up the image full res, where you can now save it in whatever format you may wish (within reason).

Cool...
I cant figure if there's a bigger hammer for sucha fly....
Maybe a real-time rendering on an Onyx...

The point is : it works fine in DF.
(I'd never used it before... then i should have expected some headhache to have the render running good)

Thanks...

Yeah, but he said he had 100s of images, so that route can be a bit tedious ;)

I have got the same problem.
I would prefer the imageeditor because it is build in lightwave. But it is much work to convert every single image one by one. And rendering is very inconvenient.

Is it possible to use a script (lscript) to convert a group of pictures for example:

convert c:\program\Lightwave\images *.flx *.tif24
action, directory, format from, format to
or something like that?

I am a newbie, but i am sure that it must be possible anyhow.
I do not understand why this proprietary file format is standard in lightwave and not tif32 that you can use standard-software to view and convert.
Or if it must be standard, please add a tool (flxTotif.exe) that can batch run.

Cheers Marcus
