OK this is an airbrush painting on canvas but I thought I would post it because I did the reference layout in Lightwave.

Where else am I gonna find an F/A-18 10 feet off the water :)

You haven't seen me fly. Great pic. Do you have a larger one? (Your creation is certainly wallpaper quality)

Real nice work.

BTW, I made a mental note to watch your posts a year and half ago because they were very good, but this is much better.

that is really good, the water is very realistic with the motion and spray

Being a traditional artist myself, still on the "learning-curve" path to computer art, it's great to see that non-computer artwork is still alive and well amongst the community. From what I can see, that is a great piece of work. The water looks really good from the depth tones to the transparency. Would'nt mind seeing a bigger pic though :)

Thanks for the feedback all. I too would like to see more traditional work here or other other types of work made with the help of Lightwave. I use Lightwave on everything from paintings to simple web stuff to cinematic cg effects. Its a great tool. Heres a bigger shot as requested If I go any bigger my publisher will have a fit :D

Hey, can someone give me the link to where I can download the trial version or whatever of Lightwave?

Y'know-- not for nothin' but when the venerable Mike Pauza chimes in that your image is good (we all remember his Velociraptor), that says something significant.

Absolutely, Mike's work is outstanding! I value everybody's input. Sometimes the untrained or unspoiled eye is better at spotting the obvious than some of us whose been at it for years.

I love your paintbrush skills!!!!

And it resulted in a very dynamic wallpaper!

Coz, great as usual!

p.s. I think Mike's brother Rob did the velociraptor, not to say that Mike is not a great Waver though, cause he is =]
