looks great-
although i can see that the refelction map is not as same as the enviroment-This is a common thing ive noticed with car renders-
maybe you could try and render one with the reflection map thats is like the enviroment?
just ramblings...

Thanks, Veljko. Yeah, you're right about the reflection map; I didn't realize it would be that obvious (live and learn). I'm planning to put the car into a scene later, so everything will match up then. :)

Models like this look great in a typical studio lighting scene - white cyclorama etc. Will also help with the double shadows for a cleaner look.

Oh, a thought... I'm using 3 lights, which is causing the overlapping ground shadows. I could exclude the ground object from receiving shadows from 2 of the lights, couldn't I?
