I currently use formz for modelling and LW for surfacing and rendering although i would like to try modelling in LW....My first problem is i do not know how to draw a single line, say for a ridge tile and then sweep its profile along it. I know other ways to make the ridge tile thang but the sweep method is used any many variations for example kurb stones where a street could be made of straight and curved lines.
Can anyone help please.
Ive attached a LW render for crit too

Hi!

Not bad picture but the too much reflection and transparency a little bit confuse the eye.
If you want to model with lightwave you must think difference.
You should forget lines becouse the modeler don't support edges.
You have to think in primitives like a square or box or circle.

a single line is just two points connected... so make point a, make point b, use extender to create a third point that's attached to point a and then use welder to weld this new point c to point b.

Or just select points a & b and hit "p".
