View Full Version : UV nightmare with Lightwave and UT2004

Howdy all,

I'm in a bit of a ditch here...

I'm building some models/scenes to be viewed through the unreal engine for a pre-viz project. I'm using LW8 with SurfaceBaker and trying to import them into the UT2004 editor (using the lwo import).

For some ungodly reason after I bake, apply and, import the model the UV'd texture shows up as, well,,, botched!

If anyone out there can explain this I would in your debt! This is getting kind of serious, I don't want to have to do all of this in Maya.

Found the issue with help from Leigh A. van der Byl. Thanks again! :D

Your a life saver!

It looks as though the problem is a bug with the TGA.p

I took your advise and figured I'd go back and check to see if LW/Me was saving as a 32bit file one more time. I brought it into Photoshop and no such luck it was a 24bit alright. One thing however I resaved the file from PS and reloaded it into UnRealEd.... Poink! No problems, shows up fine. AAAAAAARGH!!!

If I'd done any post work to the file (wanted to learn the whole realtime editor thing first) this would have been solved days ago! Man, I'm so ticked/happy it's not funny. *phew!
