View Full Version : Shutter blade hack for better anti-aliasing?

Hi Guys:

For my next animation, I'm thinking a couple of CD's, namely my XP and LightWave disks, set off on their own wandering through the maze of boxes, notes and furniture of my home-office. Haven't seen them in over a week now...

But I'm curious about whether one could play with individual anti-alias passes by timing a shutter to turn in front of the camera during individual passes, sort of like the spinning light trick.

The shutter could be partly transparent (and colored). I was mainly thinking of it for reducing the relative opacity of the first anti-aliasing pass by having it 50% darker or so.

Has anybody tried this?
