I have drink that bottle yesterday night (for my son' 18 birthday...) and thought, jeeez, that is a real rare bottle wine (old sticker), by chance the bottle was soooo old (an heritage), I did not have yo use anything to remove it... it came easy off the bottle....

What a wine....incredible ! I imagine most of you guys werent born when That wine was made....

So here we go, nice textures that I scanned.... for your old creepy castle stories and the like.....

First the main sticker

Unfortunately I was born 18 years ago - and for quite a long time before that as well!

My scans are never that clear, which scanner do you have?

He he.... an Epson CX5200.... combo scanner and printer.... for under $200.... very satisfied with it....!:D

I was actually kicking around before 66. Anyway nice branding. But I'm not sure I'd be game to drink a bottle of grape-juice that old :)

say happy birthday to your son from me!,
nice texture map- im sure ill use it somewhere!

beautiful! the wine and thx for the texture. very generous.

this from the larousse wine dictionary: pommard wines "are, in fact, the longest lived wines on the cote de beaune....they are always impressive"

some wines, like us old men:D , do indeed improve with age. the oldest one i ever had was a 1959 vouvray. kika$$ ! congrats on your son's 18th. in ten years, i'll share with you guys the wine for my daughter's 18th:D

hey thank for all your nice comments.... ! (and wishes!)

This wine was indeed a "nectar" !

I'll show you how the bottle was looking like before it was empty... !:D

ref picture of the actual bottle....

Notice, the wine level (on some old wines) reduced a bit....

07-26-2004, 03:39 AM
notice the cork is "desagrating" a bit....

07-26-2004, 03:41 AM
Notice... top bottle has lost the lead top (sometimes it is in plastic these days), leaving a strong mark....

07-26-2004, 03:42 AM
Notice the sticker is kinda loose at some points....
