Anyone have a tut on dunamic parenting?

Here's a few things.

There's a dynamic parenting example in Inside LW7 by Dan Ablan.

You can also use a motion modifier called parenter in Lightwave (v7) to do dynamic parenting.

I've also used a trick before, where I had two identical objects each one parented to different objects. I dissovled one out on the frame after I undissolved the other one. So in the case of picking a cup up off of a table, I make the cup on the table disappear (using dissolve in the properties panel) right as I make the cup that's been in the hand all along appear. To the render, it looks as though you have just picked the cup up when actually the hand was holding it the whole time. It's not the best solution, but it works. You just have to make sure that the 2 cups are almost exactly in the same spot as you dissolve one and make the other appear.
