Hi Guys,

I am looking to add another raid array to our system and would like to put the system in a new case: my requirements are as follows

space for 10 hard drives;
space for a dvd burner and dvdrom drive
good cooling

i think it would have to be a cube case. Jef from pizazz recomended one from chenbro but i cant find any information on it.

any help is greatly appreicated.

Check out the ToasterCube MAX from my dealer Blaine at Video Hardware...... I have it and have 8 drives in it.

This is the one (http://servercase.com/miva/miva?/Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SC&Product_Code=CK9891) that Jim Davis at DVS Direct put my VT in. I've got ten hard drives (2 4-drive raids + 2 system drives), DVD/CD burner, zip drive and floppy and dual power supplies in it. It's got bunches of spots for fans. A nice box as long as you don't want portability.

That is a pretty decent case. Much better than the smaller cube for routing cables and such.

That looks like the Chenbro case we have used in the past. If you are moving the computer in any way then I would definitely recommend a rack mount case instead. If you have larger drive space requirements then there are options to satisfy those requirements. The cube cases are just not built for transportation like a rackmount case is.
