now that's better!

I really like that, nice colour too.

I'd like to see it without that worm-like end to it though, just to see if it looks better without it.

This is the version without the tail.

I bet if you played with the flow of the logo, you could get the ends to twirl around into more of an 8ish shape. Now that would be cool.. you can almost see an 8 already if you concentrate...

say it with me... 8

Side, scaled

Matt: I like both versions, thanks for the tip.

Morituri: Hum... I think it gaves the illusion of an eight, but donīt you think would exagerating if looks much more? ;)

Anyway, i made 8 scales in the logo :)

I prefer the new one, I agree finger, it hints at 8 enough, also
when LW becomes v9 making it more 8 like would mean it would
be out of date so I so I think it works fine as it is!

My idea with this logo, is:

- The resemblance with the 8, the 9, the L, and the 2 programs: lightwave and modeler joined by the hub, (one side is the copy from the other, and have a connection in the middle).

Hey! I give you a perfect plan, don't whine to me about details!!

Nice Logo icons.
They keep with the current theme of Lightwave logo's. I don't care for the "tail" version at all. Sorry looks too much like a colon or rectum and that just desturbs me.

I was aware of the sh1tting part... but, i called it tail, but actually is a rectum. I used to simbolize the rectum that newtek uses to ban some users here...

but not alot - no seriously, I think it's great.
I like everything about it, except for the logo - don't like that too much...

In all seriouslessness, Finger/modelmonkey, I think you got a bad rap from this forum. I'm a reguler reader, but don't post - mainly because I don't own lightwave. I hope to someday make the purchase though. in the meantime, i enjoy seeing what other people create with the program, and what other people have to say about it. I think constructive criticiscm is underrated. I've learned alot of CG techniques that I apply to my own work with different software.
I understand your frustration - more power to you :)
