Hey all:

I'm intalling my VT2 card and SX8 card into my new computer and was wondering if anyone had some tips that I should be aware of. I recently received my software CD with the compatible windows XP build.

Thanks,

Paul

I'd put the toaster card 1 slot away from the display card.
When you boot into windows, ignore the new hardware found boxes that come up.
Iinstall your dve's into a folder that is not in the toaster directory.
Run the core updater and then autoconfig before your start the program the first time.
Lastly, get a cup of coffee or a bottle of jolt!

Also, if you're new to this, set up a ToasterEdit Project directory somewhere other than the default. Then if you re-install or upgrade at any time, nothing is lost.

Ditto that, but don't forget to move your Aura projects folder out of the T2 folder also.

And I'd put the toaster on a different partition than Windows. That way if you have a problem with windows, you can fix it without having to zap anything else of importance.

I remember when IDE drives were really slow and the skins took forever to load. So instead I would load Toaster onto my video raid. This had some bad sides, but it was intresting. Not a problem anymore because IDE drives are plenty fast now!
