I need to do a sequence where someone is thrown trough a wall.
I've been modeling all seperate pieces. Now, there is a way to move these pieces with particles en collision. The basic setup is in the standard ligthwave scenes directory. It's called FXLinkBreakpolygon.lws.

My question is : How do you get the particles in the middel of these seperate polygons and have them stay there???

Normally you make an emitter, which makes the particles...then you take an object, like a brick, and use FXlinker to clone many more bricks that are now attached to the particles...
so to get your method to work, you would have to either make an emitter out of points you made in modeller that are in the start position....but im not sure if you can then FXlink to a group of points....so, if there arent too many, you could use Nulls....hmm it gets complicated... :)...ill have to do test damnit! :)

You can also use Motion Designer and have the body actually push the wall, but thats a mess to setup...or you could use Crackit & SG_explosion2 (look em up on Flay) and blow out the wall..thats the easiest way!

I'm not sure why Crackit & SG_explosion2 are crashing but i think this is exactly what you are after! I used it the other day to have a car crash through a wall and it looked quite good. Hope ya get it working!

Kaboom! is perfect for stuff like this.

its under scripts.

Or you can use the new C4, it looks like can handle something like that as well.
