That's very impressive. Did you do the landscapes/buildings in LW as well?

You really should make an anim and post it here.

Adrian.

Hello Adrian

Hello Adrian

the landscape is 100% lightwave

to render 100% lightwave

the textures 100% procedural

Lightwave is fantastic!!!

Thanks!!

Incredible. Looks really, really great. Your modeling and surfacing is superb. Hope I'll be that good, too, one day.

The design of the ship is excellent. Not that stereotypic thing so common in sci-fi art.

Pierre,

You're right, Lightwave *is* fantastic - but only in the hands of talented people.

Looking at your work, I would say you are one of those!

I really like your blue planet.

Adrian.

Hi-
Ive seen the trailer and checked out the pics posted. IMHO the scale of the project is the impresive part- The tought invested in the characters, story and the models. The animation of the characters in the trailer is a bit stiff and unnatural, the mood and the atmosphere is the best part.I tought it could have shown us a bit more of the action, and the lights used at the beggining of the trailer were a bit to "spot lights with volumetrics turned on"-IMHO a source of the lights should have been atleast hinted..The alien landscape image is a bit to retro for my taste- The mountians and the sea are just to procedural, the lense flares and the dawn over a mointain range with sea is just IMHO done to death in LW-
The same goes for the space and earh images- They are well made but an image of earth with the sun creeping making a huge lens flare in space doted with white pixels (stars) is just not exciting as it was 5 years ago.
The space ship modeling and texturing is defenitly the high point of this piece- original concept, cool texturing and modeling combined with an old school "dune-the sand planet" feel makes them a "proud to have made it" work.
Although i think the work has potential and seems ot be of an impresive scale, i have to say that im not that impresed with what i saw and hope the future updates will show us a bit more of the storyline, action, and the world where the story is set- something the intro from the official site IMHO failed to do.

keep it up and hope to see more soon!
:)

Hey!
the film "the doors of Mahir"
is a personal project.
Not this financed,
totally made with Lightwave,
a CPU 2000 mhz with 1gb of ram.

the process is slow but I hope to finish it soon.
Intro which we have in the page Web is obsolete.
I do not have time to put the other best one.
it hoped to find tools of animation in version 8 of lightwave better, but it is not what hoped,
luck that I have to our Jacobo inventing things like this.

Hello
thanks, very well your image, single too much brightness, for my pleasure.
The Mahir name I believe that he is "Hebrew" and it means (fast) but I am not very safe.
