Many of your favorite features were shot at 30 fps.

All films shot in the original Todd-AO process (65mm) were shot at 30fps and were intended to be shown at 30fps.

For example:

Oklahoma!
The Miracle of Todd-AO
Around the World in 80 Days
South Pacific
The March of Todd-AO
Porgy and Bess
The Tale of Old Whiff
Scent of Mystery
Can-Can
The Alamo
Cleopatra
Man in the 5th Dimension
The Sound of Music
Those Magnificent Men...
The Agony and the Ecstasy
Michelangelo
Doctor Dolittle
Star!
Hello, Dolly!
Krakatoa
Airport
The Last Valley
CineSpace 70
Baraka

And others....

Makes you think about how if exhibitors haden't resisted having to buy new projectors and screens, how pervasive 30fps would be now.

The same resistance is being met to the "digital" cinema equipment processes....hmmmm.

Just some stuff to think about....
