View Full Version : Good LW advice for this guy/company

I was surfing cgchannels forums and came across this.

As I don't work with film I don't think I could give an educated answer to him. So far his recieved advice is biased to dumping LW and going with Maya.

If Lightwave can do the job in film as he says, why does he feel he has to go to a Maya pipeline to be compatible with other studios. He also says the switch over to Maya will increase the talent pool he could employ from. If other companies can use LW for film okay, why would he want to go to great expense and change?

Maybe some of you lot who use LW for film could give him more advice on sticking with LW for this big feature? Maybe Maya would be a better option is his case? Just wondering.

That's great advice people. Hopefully he/they will make the right decision and use the best tools for the job, which I am sure definitely includes LW in a major role.
