Imagine the Lightwave had a Animate tab in Layout.
How would it look like?

What functionality would you add to it and how would you
implement it in the current layout?

What I am trying to imagine is LW not having to depend on 3rd party software for animation (Kaydara, Messiah etc).

And lets ignore the current limitations of the SDK and lets go with our imaginations.

For this I added an empty template.
Feel free to grab your favorite paint program and
show us your ideas with it.

Here is what I did!

For example I created this, to bounce some ideas....

Tell me what u think.

Fantastic idea, Roberto i love the pose recorder. In the options I'dd add the possibility to cut and paste them on each other mixing them from pose to pose, but also from different groups, so that it will be really flexible.

I'd love this to be done with drag and drop too, and maybe also throug a slider in wich u can decide the amount of mixing between poses.Powerful!!:D

a mirror pose and multiple poses (groups) too

rename pose with the possibility to rename multiple poses and number them (watch the great selegon editor plug.)

Ok now we need a good programmer for a plug like this.

the character picker is good as well: maybe it can be a general one or u may add a more general char picher for non human chars too. in this case maybe the human picker can be nested into a general panel .

Thomas 4D and other programmer have also Char pickers with alot of options inside.

P.S. now that i think about it, why not a panel with these nested into it as an option if u want, and the possibility to show something like char picker into a viewport. :)

I like your idea. It would bee nice to have the Animation Pose Recorder look sompthing like windows explorer. You know with the Dir tree on the left side and the file on the right.

and I agree with (Nemoid) comments.

I hope other can give you some input

add these functions with real time 30fps play back of animation and I see no need for motionbuilder for LW
