View Full Version : How do I animate surface color over a # of frames?

I need to create surface variables for single image renders. I have my surface named and coloured. Now I want to create from frame one to frame five with a different color for the surface. How do I set up an envelope for this, or is that the correct approach even? I would like to change image textures over a number of frames too. I am sure the method would be the same. Anyone have a simple solution to this?
Thanks a lot!

Use the 'E' button on the color channel
it opens graph editor
just make keys where you want to get a color change.

Thanks for the reply but I have a more specific question in mind. I need to specify RGB values, not percentage values. I need acurate color selection, like from the color picker.
Also, can you change an image map from one image to another over time??
Thanks again,

1/Right click a key and at the bottom is Open Colour Picker. Interestingly the old little colour circle which you used to be able to click to change colur isn't there anymore....

2/Yes you can. Use two image layers and fade between them.
