View Full Version : Emitter Problem

Greetings :)

I'm trying to create the "jet" exhaust seen in the original Battlestar Galactica on the Vipers.

I can get it to look just right in a still image or a straight line path motion, but if I add any turns or banks, etc to the parent object motion, the emitter goes crazy.

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you messed with the "parent motion" under the "Etc" tab of the Emitter panel?

By default it is set to 100%, which means the particle gets the emmiter's motion at particle birth added to whatever emmision settings you have.

If you drop it to 0% the particle doen't inheret any inertia from the emmiter.

That was it :)


It changed how the HV forms/looks, but I can play with that again.
