Anyone else have problems burning DVD-R's with DVD Workshop 1.x and a Pioneer DVR-104? I tried two different DVD-R media, and have the latest ROM upgrade for the DVR-104....

Likewise in attempting to burn a DVD+RW.

Not fun when I spent all that time setting up chapters and titles.....

WinDVD burns 'em fine....

I recommend using specialized programs for what they do best.

I use:

VT[3] for editing.
TMPGEnc for MPEG-2 encoding.
DVD Workshop for authoring and AC-3 encoding.
RecordNow Max 4.5 for burning.

I never had problems burning direct from DVD Workshop 1.3, but I haven't actually done it from there in over a year, last time would have been with my single A03, since it doesn't support multiple drives I haven't used it to burn since my four A05s went in.

Just author a DVD image and then burn in a burner program. Burner programs also support verifying, which I consider important.

Thanks a lot Eugene! I'll look into RecordNow Max. Or, since I have Nero, maybe an upgrade to DVD burning....
