View Full Version : Fun with my kids

I wanted to try something fun with my kids this summer so we're set out to produce a 5 to 10 minute video similar to Dragon Ball Z but live motion not animated characters (maybe in the live video but not full animation). Well the signature things about DBZ is the energy beams, fireballs, and powerups. How can I do those things? Are they something I use LW for or some other tool like DFX+ (the one that shipped with LW[8])? I was thinking of using particles but not sure if that is a good idea. I know lightwave but haven't gotten into it as much as I should. I moving from logos and other small animations to character and dynamics and compositing. I've been using LW since LW4 (actually, I may be able to dig up my Amiga 2000 with the original VT and LW). Anyway. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Tools I have:
DFX+ (with the LW[8] Modules)

I haven't even got to the morphing the hair to a super saiyan.

PS - The reason why I'm not as good as I should be is because I'm a computer geek that loves programming and music production too. So I spread them out during the year or two.
