...to Max, Maya and XSI? Do i need UV textures to mantain them or can it be with good old regular mapping? What format to use and what program for the conversion?

I recommend Deep exploration, it will do boned objects, Uv or non-uv mapped objects, from virtually any format to any other format.. A tad pricey but very useful.
