Sometimes when I don't quit Lightwave properly (due to crashes etc), next time I start it up it has forgotten my window-positions, like for my numeric and layer-window etc.

How do I manually save my window-settings so that I can re-load them again manually when this happens?

Once i had a problem of Spreadsheet (or was it Motion Mixer)
disappearing out of reach and i could not get it back.

These settings are stored in cfg files as long as i remember.
So go ahead, back up your cfg files and experiment with them.

I actually deleted my spreadsheet cfg file and after that it was normal.

LightWave saves out the config files when you close the program. So what you should do is setup your windows the way you like them. Then shutdown LightWave so it saves out the config files. Then you can re open LightWave and it should keep the setup that you created even if it happens to not close properly.:D

I got tired of having to re-position my screen, so I just made a screen resize Lscript and inserted it into my LightWave interface... below's the script. It's the best way to get LightWave back right where I left of:)

@script generic
@name reset screen

//these are my settings... change these around so that they fit what you like...
