I have the VT version on Aura running on Dual Xeons, All I need to do is blur out someone's face in a Music Video but I don't know the best way to do it could someone either tell me how step by step or point me in the right direction to where there is a guide to do this online.

Thank You!

Are you intending to blur the entire image (or clip), or just the facial area of one individual in a moving video sequence?

(The former could easily be done in realtime using the Blur filter in the Toaster's Effects directory. The latter would be a little more involved, using Aura.)

I know how to use blur in Toaster, but I have no clue in Aura? Please Help!!! The clip is only 3 seconds long and the face moves with the video.

OK, there are several approaches that would work nicely. To save time, I'm going to cheat a bit:

First, I'm going to assume that it will no be a problem for your purposes if the effect is obvious. That is, the blur is limited to a region 'roughly' the right size, obscuring the face, rather than needing to make it seem as though the face was simply outside the Depth of Field area of the image in a more natural way.

That being the case, follow this tutorial (http://www.newtek.com/products/aura/tutorials/lesson09/lesson09.html) , except at the very last step apply the Blur filter rather than the Mosaic.

Boy, that was the easiest answer I've given in a while ;-)

I will try to use the Tutorial when I get home!
