A 500 upgraded to 68030
A 2000 upgraded to 68030 then to 68040 + 24MB RAM
A 1200 buyed for AGA chipset!

Good bad old days! :p

I was sure you're an old Amiga user too. I started with Sculpt animate 3D (you know? remember?) then upgraded in 4D...
I remember now how long the rendering was. I did draw four or five tourmaline cristals (transparence, reflection, refraction) on a merely checkboxed plane. I started a 320x200 render, I went out to join my friends, I spent a lot of time with my honey, I smoked a couple of cigarettes, I returned at home and... opplą! The rendering was up to be almost finished!
Wonderful old nasty time!
Ciao

My first render was Sculpt animate 3D one too... it took quite a day (22h 56m).

My favourite app (during Amiga age) was Imagine...
but I had the pleasure to work also with LW (naturally), Silver3D, Real3D and AnimationMaster (collaborating occasionally with some studio).

But my longest render came out on PC (PII 133Mhz MMX, or something similar) using LW 5.5:
it took longer than 6 days (I'm not joking), but it gave me the 3D Cafe's Platinum Award!

Good days... many ideas... not fashion! ;)

The image is too old (1997) for the new gallery (they actually arrive to 2003).

If you want take a look you can go here:
http://www.geocities.com/grubaltelli/rel-g/pagese/ast.htm
(the site is old and not up to date... ;))

it looks fine, but I prefer the 'math n' steps!
And your recent works?
Bye!

You can find some more recent works of mine here:
do a search using "abstract", then browse the Threads that I've started
(every comment is welcome)!

Some more at the Pixxelpoint Computer Art Festival site:

http://www.pixxelpoint.org/2001/3d/rubaltelli-3.html
http://www.pixxelpoint.org/2002/3d/rubaltelli-2.html

I'm planning a new site but I'll start, probably, not before the end of the year.

Many thanks for the interest! ;)
